Assisted Recover Center Reviews

The Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA) was the first organization in the nation to adapt research conducted at the University of Pennsylvania on naltrexone for alcohol and drug addiction treatment. In 1994, the FDA approved naltrexone HCI to stop the cravings associated with the early stages of alcohol and drug withdrawal and ARCA began offering one of the first non-twelve step based programs at its facility in Phoenix, AZ.

The organization focuses on providing individually tailored treatment programs that address not just psychological, environmental and spiritual elements that traditional twelve-step programs such as A.A. focus on, but also addresses the biological and chemical factors that come into play.

If A.A. meetings are not for you, ARCA centers may offer a useful alternative. As with all therapies, the goal is to find a model that works for you so you can free yourself from the bonds of alcoholism.
